In an attempt to address their quarterback problems, the Atlanta Falcons signed veteran four-time Pro Bowl quarterback, Kirk Cousins, who last played with the Minnesota Vikings. Cousins inked a four-year $180 million deal in March.

The general manager of the Falcons, Terry Fontenot, has offered positive and encouraging words regarding the quarterback’s inclusion in the Atlanta family. He believes that the quarterback can offer so much more to the squad while also being a reliable player.

Fontenot mentioned, as per the Atlanta Falcons, “The excitement about Kirk Cousins is that he’s a multiplier on and off the field. We know that, so when he gets in the building and in the training room … he truly is (that with) the work that he does.”

The manager also shared that Cousins take notes during team meetings when conducted by the head coach, Raheem Morris. Further shedding light on his positively constructive habit. Fontenot also expressed, “He’s like a nerd up there. He’s obsessed with it.”

Cousins suffered an Achilles injury, which ended his last campaign and the general manager is sharing effective results regarding the quarterback’s participation in the training camp, which will be held in July.

He shared, “We know that (Cousins is) going to take advantage of anything he can do to get himself ready to go in and peak condition.”

Cousins was selected in the 2012 NFL Draft in the fourth round as the 102nd pick. He played with the Washington Commanders from 2012 to 2017, he then played with the Minnesota Vikings from 2018 to 2023.
