“I mean, he looks good” Los Angeles Rams Heady Coach Sean McVay Praises Former Geogia QB Stetson Bennett For Commitment During Offseason

With the 2024 NFL Draft just a few days away, all the talk surrounds the extremely talented and deep 2024 quarterback class. Many experts project that as many as six quarterbacks will be drafted in the first round and there are a handful of other talented prospects that could be picked up in the later rounds.

The Los Angeles Rams recently signed Jimmy Garoppolo to back up Super Bowl winning quarterback Matthew Stafford. Additionally, they have a two-time NCAA national champion quarterback in Stetson Bennett waiting in the wings.

The Los Angeles Rams were able to secure Bennett in the fourth round of the 2023 draft and while he is yet to see any action at the professional level, the 26-year-old could be a valuable asset for head coach Sean McVay’s dynamic offense in 2024.

Per a recent artile from Pro Football Talk, McVay spoke about Bennett’s contribution during the offseason and hinted at a possible role next season.

“Stetson’s been here. We’re in phase one. It’s been just meetings and then lifting so our ability to get out on the field with the players hasn’t existed yet,” said McVay. “He’s done a great job of being engaged in the meetings…I mean, he looks good. He’s had a good look in his eyes. He’s been attentive in the meetings and then I’m looking forward to next week to being able to get out on the grass with all of our players and Stetson being one of them.”

Stetson will be ecstatic with the news that he is in contention for a spot in a competitive quarterback room but McVay did not rule out drafting another quarterback. The Rams currently hold 11 picks in the upcoming draft, including four in the first three rounds.
