Isaiah Rodgers contract: How much does the Eagles player earn as CB is reinstated by NFL following one-year ban

The Philadelphia Eagles received notification from the NFL that cornerback Isaiah Rodgers has been reinstated following a season-long suspension for violating the league’s gambling policy.

Rodgers, 26, was suspended and waived by the Colts in June. He signed a $1.01 million contract with the Eagles in August after being drafted in 2020.

In his three seasons with the Colts, he recorded three interceptions, 10 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and four fumble recoveries. He also scored a touchdown as a kick returner in his rookie year.

Eagles’ owner Jeffrey Lurie praised Rodgers as a valuable addition to the team. Rodgers will compete for a starting position at cornerback and contribute on special teams.

He is now eligible to participate in the team’s voluntary offseason workout program and counts towards the team’s 90-player roster limit. There was some uncertainty regarding his reinstatement, but Lurie remained optimistic about it.

Rodgers’ performance will be closely watched as he adjusts to a new team and scheme after a year away from football. He also has the potential to contribute as a kick returner.
