“Not much cutting, no scrimmaging” NBA Insider Provides Alarming Update On Giannis Calf Injury, Bucks Star Struggling to Recover For Pacers Series

Milwaukee Bucks fans were left devastated when Giannis Antetokounmpo hit the floor on April 9 holding his left calf. It was a strange incident considering no player was near him at the time but what seemed to be a minor injury, has developed into a serious hitch for Giannis and the Bucks.

The Greek forward has been the leader and star player for this team since joining the organization back in 2013. Without him over the last four games, the Bucks have struggled to find any consistency and have 2-3 record.

Tuesday"s crushing 125-108 defeat to the Indiana Pacers was a reminder just how influential is Milwaukee.

Unfortunately for Bucks fans, NBA insider Shams Chaania recently provided an injury update on the two-time MVP and it does not look good.

“I"m told [Giannis Antetokounmpo] has at least started to do some stationary jump shooting…But still not much cutting, no scrimmaging, no all out running yet…I think the Bucks have to be prepared to keep playing on without Giannis," said Charania.

The news is a major blow for the Bucks who were hoping to have their leading scorer and rebounder back for Game 3. It looks as though Giannis could be out for longer than expected and could potentially miss out on the entire series versus the Pacers.

This season, Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists over 77 games.

He led the Bucks to the NBA championship in the 2020-2021 season and have helped guide the team to seven straight playoff appearances.
