Watch: Mavericks Edge Clippers 96-93 in Playoffs Thriller; Doncic and Irving Lead Charge

The Los Angeles Clippers were recently defeated by the Dallas Mavericks in the second game of Playoffs Round 1 series with a concluding score of 93-96. 

The duo, consisting of five-time All-Star sensation, Luka Doncic and eight-time All-Star veteran guard, Kyrie Irving, was explosive against the Clippers, who saw Kawhi Leonard return as well. 

Donic scored 32 points, 6 rebounds, and 9 assists, whereas Irving added 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists to the scoreboard. P.J. Washington Jr., who added 18 points, and rebounds to the tally and as per CBS News mentioned, “Obviously it was a must-win and everybody was locked in. They punched us in the mouth in Game 1 and we just wanted to respond.”

The two-time NBA Finals MVP, Kawhi Leonard, posted 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists. James Harden posted 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists, and Paul George ended his game with 22 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists. 

Doncic also shared, “The second half is the way we should play the whole game. We got to learn from that.”

The shooting percentage of the Mavericks from the field was 42.1% and from the three-point it was 42.4%. Whereas the Clippers registered 26.7% from three-point and 36.8% from field goal.
