The four-time Pro Bowl cornerback, Xavien Howard, has not yet been signed by any team since being let go by the Miami Dolphins, with whom he played from 2016 to 2023.
He was selected in the 2016 NFL Draft in the second round as the 38th pick. According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, Howard’s physician has informed the league teams in writing that the seasoned cornerback is available for all football related activities.
During the concluding part of the 2023 campaign, Howard suffered a foot injury and was absent from the last two games of the Miami Dolphins. He was released by the Dolphins post-June 1 and has hinted at his interest in the Houston Texans club.
He had mentioned, as per SI, “I would love to do that; back at home, the crib. I have Houston Rockets and the Texans tatted on me. . . . It’s a realistic option for me. They have a hell of a quarterback. I love a defensive coach.”
Four-time Pro Bowl CB Xavien Howard was fully cleared for football activities earlier this month, his doctor informed teams in a letter.
