NFL analyst William “Bucky” Brooks has been around the game of football since he was a young boy and knows what it takes to succeed in this league. The former player appeared in 32 NFL games over five season for five different franchises including the Buffalo Bills, Breen Bay Packers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders.
This week, the knowledgeable Brooks provided fans with his fourth and final mock draft based on the information he has to date.
Like many experts, there are no surprises in Brooks’ first three picks with three quarterbacks being picked up with the first three selections. This is one of the most talented quarterback classes we have seen in years and with several organizations looking to secure a franchise signal-caller, expect the competition to be fierce in the first round.
Brooks has USC’s Caleb Williams going to the Chicago Bears, LSU’s Jayden Daniels going to the Commanders and the New England Patriots selecting Drake Maye. Overall, he has four quarterback going in the first round with the Minnesota Vikings selecting Michigan’s national champion J.J. McCarthy.

The fourth pick will see wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. team up with quarterback Kyler Murray on the Arizona Cardinals. Harrison Jr., one of the top receivers in the class, is projected by many to be the first non-QB off the board.
That’s when things get interesting. Brooks has newly-appointed head coach Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers solidifying their offensive line with Joe Alt. The New York Giants will avoid drafting a quarterback and opt for highly-touted wide receiver Malik Nabers instead. The Bears will add another weapon for Caleb Williams in receiver Rome Odunze and the New York Jets will take tight-end Brock Bowers as a complimentary piece for Aaron Rodgers.
One other interesting prediction is that Brooks sees Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy II as the first defender off the board to the Atlanta Falcons.
