LSU’s gifted quarterback, Jayden Daniels, is setting the record straight: He has no preferred destination in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Media reports recently suggested that the Washington Commanders, the team holding the prized second pick, might not be Daniels’ first choice.

Certainly, the speculation is high when it comes to the next destination for Daniels. Expectedly, he has swiftly developed into the favorite candidate for the second overall pick.
In a showcase of his unwavering professional demeanor, Daniels dismantled the circulating media reports. He declared that he would be “100 percent” fine if the Commanders selected him with their pick.
Undisturbed by the media frenzy, Daniels’ focus remains centered on round one of the drafts. “I’m blessed to go wherever I’m called,” Daniels said humorously, hoping to just hear his name called.
“I’m blessed to go wherever I’m called,” Daniels told reporters at Wednesday’s “Play Football” event with Special Olympics athletes. “Whoever calls my phone, (when the) commissioner gets up and says my name, I’ll be blessed, and they’re going to get my all.
“That’s the best … the best opportunity. I will say they believe in me, so I’m gonna put in the work.”
Daniels was among around 20 NFL prospects, including Drake Maye from UNC, Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy, and Washington’s Michael Penix Jr., who were invited by the Commanders for a unique pre-draft team visit.
In an unconventional and interactive approach, the Commanders led the aspiring NFL stars to a local Topgolf, where they competed in a friendly long-driving competition.
From Daniels’ perspective, this strategy wasn’t an opportunity for the team to assess their competitiveness but rather a bid to understand how the players interact with one another.
As things currently stand, it is uncertain whether the Commanders will opt for Daniels with their second overall pick. As Daniels awaits news, he remains open and hopeful.
