The Super Bowl champion, MVP, multiple-record setter, and one of the top-notch wide receivers of the Los Angeles Rams, Cooper Kupp’s methodical approach and work ethic have not changed when it comes to the preparation of the 2024 NFL season.
Kupp’s had an incredible 2021 season, and in the last season, he registered 737 receiving yards, 59 receptions, and five receiving touchdowns. He played 12 games in the last campaign. The cornerback, however, is adamant that he can regain his earlier form.
When he was questioned if he could return to his previous form after missing the previous seasons with injuries, the NFL Offensive Player of the Year of 2021 shared, as per the Los Angeles Rams, “I don’t know if I would be still playing if I didn’t think that was still who I was. That is who I believe myself to be. I’m counting on myself to get there for my teammates, that’s the player they’re counting on to be there on Sundays, and I believe the work that I do, how I prepare, all that stuff’s going to be there to be the productive player that I know that I am.”
During the last campaign, a hamstring injury occurred during the training camp, which derailed four of his initial games and prevented him from participating in them. He has been undergoing necessary training to prepare him for the 2024 season.
He further expressed, “Efficiency is a big thing for me. The more efficient you can play saves more down the line for you. Don’t do more than you have to, so that you can do more when you need to. That’s kind of the mantra I live by with that. I look forward to being able to go out there this year and play some good football.”
Kupp further highlights that it is not advisable to continue doing more and is spending time refining the his motions and routines. So, when the season commences he can push for his productivity which could result in increased productivity.
