Caleb Williams was the star of the 2024 NFL Draft. He was drafted 1st overall by the Chicago Bears. He played three college seasons, starting at both Oklahoma (2021) and USC (2022-23), and won the Heisman Trophy in his sophomore year at USC (2022).
Williams was considered the consensus top prospect, a highly talented quarterback in a draft class stacked with QBs.
Post-draft, Caleb’s girlfriend, Alina Thyregod took to her Instagram and cheered for the future NFL star. She wrote, “Go Bearssss!!” which the ex-USC star reposted on his page.
Note: There seemed to be some confusion about Caleb Williams’ current girlfriend. In April 2024, leading up to the NFL Draft, reports suggested his girlfriend was Valery Orellana. However, at the draft itself, he was seen with a different woman named Alina Thyregod.

There are reports that they started dating in January 2024.
The Bears signaled their intentions earlier by trading away Justin Fields, their previous starting QB. This move clearly showed their desire for a franchise quarterback, and Williams fit the bill perfectly. With Williams, the Bears hope to end their struggles and return to being a contender.
