Eagles WR is set to play for the Eagles through the 2029 season and with this contract extension, Brown becomes the highest-paid receiver in the league.
Rapoport wrote via the sources,
"The Eagles and star WR AJ Brown agreed to terms on a new 3-year extension for $96M, the highest for any WR in NFL history. He’s now under contract [through] 2029 & his total guarantee of $84M is also the highest. The deal, his third at 27, was done by Tory Dandy of CAA."
Accounting for two seasons at the Eagles and their one of the best rosters in the league, Brown has racked up 2,952 yards and 18 touchdowns in 34 games and earned two second-team All-Pro selections and Pro Bowl nods.
With Jalen Hurts under contract, the Eagles can carry on building the roster as Brown who was acquired via trade with the Titans joined at the perfect time, helping them reach the Super Bowl in his first season in Philadelphia.
Alongside quarterback Jalen Hurts, they led the Eagles to the Super Bowl in 2023 and went 11-6 last season.
However the team failed to capitalize on their hot start to the season, faltered and ultimately fell short in the wild-card round. A late-season collapse capped by a dreadful showing on Super Wild Card Weekend.
Following the fall in February, Brown has expressed, "I want to be here, simple as that" but now with the extension, the Eagles will keep him well beyond the initial end date (2027) of his previous contract.
