Korey Cunningham NFL Career

Draft and Early Career (2018):

Korey was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the 7th round (254th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft and signed his rookie contract in May 2018. Korey earned a starting spot at left tackle due to an injury in Week 11 and started the next six games for the Cardinals. Another injury in Week 16 forced him on injured reserve, ending his rookie season.

Moving Teams (2019-2020):

He was traded to the New England Patriots in 2019 for a 6th-round draft pick and spent two seasons on the Patriots’ roster. However, he didn’t see significant playing time as a starter.

New York Giants (2021-2023):

Finally, Korey was signed to the New York Giants’ practice squad in September 2021. Next, he was elevated to the active roster a month later and saw some playing time. Cunningham was re-signed by the Giants in March 2022 but only to get released due to a non-football injury in July 2022.

Korey re-joined the Giants’ practice squad later in October 2022 and was elevated for a game in November 2022. In January 2023, he signed a reserve/future contract in January 2023 but was ultimately released by the Giants on the eve of the 2023 season.

Overall, Korey played in 31 games across his NFL career and made 6 starts, primarily at left tackle.
