Oklahoma City Thunder Team Bails on TNT Postgame Interview In Favor Of Their Local Broadcast

The NBA playoffs are in full swing and few teams are providing as much entertainment as the Oklahoma City Thunder. Mark Daigneault has a plethora of talent on the roster and plays the with an intensity and skill level that few teams can match. The Thunder are one of the youngest rosters in the NBA, but with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leading the way, this team has a real shot at contending for the Western Conference title.

On Saturday, the Thunder pulled off a 106-85 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the playoff series. Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams finished with 24 and 21 points respectively to lead the away team to a vital win.

On moment which caught the attention of viewers during the broadcast was during the postgame interview. Williams was preparing to speak with TNT’s Allie LaForce when the forward attention suddenly shifted to another huddle. Williams then walked off to join his teammates who were conducting an interview with local broadcast Bally Sports.

“Why do we have to wait? I’m doing some investigating right now. I don’t know what is happening,” LaForce can be heard saying in a confusing tone.

Ernie Johnson saves LaForce any further blushes by telling her to let the Thunder team go ahead.

One of the Thunder’s strong points all season has been their unity and team chemistry. That was on full display again when the team joined forces to make the decision to speak to the team’s local broadcast.
