The talented cornerback Rayshad Williams will be joining the Las Vegas Raiders and not the Miami Dolphins due to a historic mix-up. He was offered a training camp invite from the Dolphins but went with the Raiders as they offered him a full contract.

Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson shared in his Platform X, formerly Twitter post, “Hawthorne now tells me that there was a mix-up and Williams is joining the Raiders. Here’s what happened: A veteran Dolphins front office official left for the Raiders. Williams camp thought they were talking to Dolphins on the phone tonight, but the guy now works for the Raiders and that wasn’t clear to them. Williams camp called Dolphins for clarity and Fins offered a camp invite. Raiders offered a full contract, and thus he opted for Vegas.”
Ron Hawthorne, who is Williams’ agent, shared with Jackson that Williams’ camp assumed that they were talking to Miami’s executive but the same executive had left the Dolphins organization and had joined the Raiders.
The cornerback played with University of California, Los Angeles, UCLA, and then concluded his collegiate career with Texas Tech University. Williams, as per AHN Fire Digital, registered 136 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one interception, 26 passes defensed, and one fumble recovery during his entire college career.
The Miami Dolphins, as per Dolphins Wire, are reportedly acquiring, in undrafted free agency defensive backs Isaiah Johnson of Syracuse and Storm Duck of Louisville.
