Cowboys Confirm Return of Ezekiel Elliott

Ever since his entrance into the NFL with the 2016 first-round pick by the Cowboys, Ezekiel Elliott has impressed fans with his consistent performances.

After spending through the 2022 season with the Cowboys, Elliott was discontinued from the team in March 2023.

Shifting his path, Elliott decided to sign a contract with the Patriots in August 2023. However, this partnership was short-lived as he came back to the Cowboys for a discussion on a potential return to the Texas team last week.

In a surprising turn, the Cowboys have indeed welcomed back Ezekiel Elliott. NFL Media reports described that the Cowboys and Elliott have come to an agreement, although specific terms haven’t been disclosed yet.

Elliott’s return is all the more pertinent as the Cowboys saw the loss of Tony Pollard in free agency, and have made few other significant backfield moves in this off-season.

Elliott is expected to take up the prime spot on the depth chart further fortifying Cowboys’ backfield lineup.

Ezekiel’s return to the Cowboys has not only excited the fans but also put the team’s management in high spirits. His reintegration into the team is expected to yield excellent outcomes and could well be the missing puzzle piece the Cowboys needed.
