Deion Sander QB Son Shedeur Sanders The Early Favorite For First Overall Pick in 2025 NFL Draft

The 2024 NFL Draft just ended but it is never too early to start researching, preparing player breakdowns and drawing up a preliminary moch draft for 2025.

According to the Sportsbooks, Colorado Buffaloes highly-rated quarterback Shedeur Sanders is the early favorite to be the no. 1 overall pick next season with DraftKings offering the wager at +100, per Pro Football Talk. Two more gunslinger follow the dual threat quarterback with Georgia’s Carson Beck and Texas’ Quinn Ewers listed at +300.

Sanders, 22, is the son of Colorado’s football coach Deion Sanders and is coming off an exceptional season. Although Colorado limped to an unimpressive 4-8 record, Sanders propelled his way up the draft board and barring any unfortunate incidents, seems like a lock for the no. 1 spot.

Last season, Sanders finished with 3230 passing yards on 298 completions and recorded 31 total touchdowns.

After a draft class where quarterbacks were in high demand, it is no surprise that Draftkings has seven quarterbacks with the best odds of being the first overall pick. In 2024, there were six quarterbacks drafted in the first 12 picks. It was also only the fourth time in the history of the draft that all of the first three selections were quarterbacks.

Georgia’s defensive end Mykel Williams is highest ranked non-quarterback with odds of +1800.
