“I also am very, very angry going the round that I did” Dolphins 5th Round Pick Mohamed Kamara Conveys Ire with Late Selection

The Miami Dolphins have selected Colorado State’s talented pass rusher, Mohamed Kamara, in the fifth round as the 158th pick.

The skilled prospect has expressed happiness at being a part of the Miami Dolphins moving forward but shared in his video conference that he should have been selected way earlier in the 2024 NFL Draft and wanted to make sure that the other teams stay cautious against him.

He mentioned, as per Dolphins Wire, “I’m very excited, but I also am very, very angry going the round that I did. That’s just my personality. I knew I could’ve went higher and I wanted to go higher, but the lovely team of Miami picked me up and I’m going to give them that burning desire. I have a chip on my shoulder, so it just got even greater.”

In the last campaign, he was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year and in three seasons with the Rams, he recorded 29 sacks and 42.5 tackles for loss. He mentions, “If you want to call me short, watch out. If you didn’t believe in me, watch out. That’s just the type of person I am, that’s what keeps me going every day. I’m never going to be satisfied.”

Further continuing, “All 31 other teams, look out because the way I’m about to play against these guys, you should’ve picked me before. That’s just the type of person I am so respect to those guys and I’m grateful for Miami for picking me up, but I know what I’m going to bring to the field and every other team has to see me.”

In the department of pass rushers, the Dolphins have veterans Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb, Shaquil Barrett, and recently drafted 2024 first-round selection, Chop Robinson.
