On Saturday, Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was injured when he was shot in Sanford, a victim and bystander in a mass shooting but was released from the hospital in good spirits.
The team released a statement on Sunday, announcing, Dell “has been released from the hospital and is in good spirits.”

According to the Texans, Dell sustained minor wounds as an innocent victim and bystander during a shooting at a private event in Sanford.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that a teenage gunman wounded 10 people, they were treated at a local hospital for gunshot wounds, primarily below their waists.
Per the updates, none of the victims in the shooting at Cabana Live in Sanford suffered life-threatening injuries. The Texans’ statement on Dell injury,
“We are in contact with him and his family and will provide more updates when appropriate, but we ask that you please respect his privacy at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident.”
As per the arrest report, a fistfight broke out, a 16-year-old suspect was reported to pulled out a gun inside the club and began firing toward a crowd of people. A security guard standing near the gunman wrestled him to the ground and disarmed him.
The 16-year-old suspect has been taken to a juvenile detention center and charged with attempted homicide, firing a weapon in a public place, using a firearm during a felony and illegal possession of a firearm by a minor.
He has been charged with four counts, including attempted homicide and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Dell was a third-round pick by the Texans in last year’s draft and was one of the biggest rookie surprises. He finished his, 2023 rookie season with 47 receptions for 709 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games played.
