Caitlin Clark, the top pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, showcased her shooting prowess once again during a training camp session with the Indiana Fever on Monday. However, teammate Kelsey Mitchell met her impressive half-court shot with a playful challenge.

The former Iowa Hawkeye participated in a half-court shot competition alongside her Fever teammates at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, home of the Indiana Pacers.

In a viral video posted by the Fever on social media, Clark can be seen confidently sinking a deep shot on her first attempt, prompting cheers from her fellow players. However, Mitchell, known for her sharpshooting skills, jokingly suggested that Clark should “back up” before attempting the shot.

The humorous exchange between the teammates added a lighthearted touch to the training camp session and showcased the camaraderie within the Fever squad.

Clark’s impressive performance in training camp further solidifies her status as a rising star in the WNBA. With the regular season set to begin in mid-May, fans eagerly anticipate seeing Clark, Mitchell, and the rest of the Fever roster in action as they embark on their 2024 campaign.
