LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers were knocked out of the NBA playoffs on Monday when the Denver Nuggets won 108-106, sealing a 4-1 series victory. Jamal Murray’s 32 points, including a game-winning shot, helped Denver advance to the Western Conference semifinals against Minnesota.

The Lakers fought hard and even led by nine points in the third quarter, but Denver’s experience and skill proved decisive. Despite James’ 30 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds, the Lakers couldn’t overcome Denver’s offensive and defensive prowess.

Anthony Davis, dealing with a shoulder injury, contributed 17 points and 15 rebounds. However, Denver’s Nikola Jokic and Michael Porter Jr. led their team to victory with impressive performances.

The Lakers also missed crucial free throws, including four in the fourth quarter. Lakers coach Darvin Ham acknowledged Denver’s strength, praising them as defending champions with the ability to win tough games, the Lakers fell short, ending their playoff run and allowing Denver to move forward in the postseason.
