In an exclusive interview with Overtime Heroics senior editor Reggie Roberts, Carolina Panthers offensive lineman Austin Corbett, the versatile player revealed his enthusiasm for his new role, mentoring second-year quarterback Bryce Young.

Corbett, who previously earned a Super Bowl ring with the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl XVI, has overcome significant challenges, including two knee surgeries. Despite his setbacks, he remains a vital presence in the Panthers" locker room and is considered one of Young"s closest teammates.

Young spoke highly of Corbett"s dedication and engagement, emphasizing his active participation and leadership, even during times when he was sidelined due to injury.

“He obviously wasn’t healthy for a lot of the year last year, but he was so engaged and so into it," Young remarked. “If you were not here and didn’t know everything that happened, you would never know that he was not playing. He was taking some of the most thorough notes I’ve ever seen. In every single protection meeting we had, he was talking the most, even the times when he wasn’t even in the game."

Young expressed his excitement about Corbett"s role as the team"s center for the upcoming season, highlighting the positive impact he expects Corbett to have on the Panthers" offense.
