Johnny Manziel and Josie Canseco recently confirmed they are dating by going “Instagram official” on April 29.
Both Manziel and Canseco posted photos on their Instagram stories while attending the Stagecoach music festival in California. The photos showed them cuddled up and enjoying each other’s company.
FYI, there had been whispers about them dating for weeks, but these social media posts were the first public confirmation of their relationship.
In early April 2024, Josie Canseco posted a photo on her Instagram story that sparked dating rumors between her and former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel.
The photo itself wasn’t outwardly romantic. It showed Canseco’s feet propped up on the lap of another passenger, who was visible only from the knees down. However, fans speculated that the man was Manziel due to two key details: a hand covered in tattoos consistent with Manziel’s ink, and a friendship bracelet that resembled one Manziel had been seen wearing in the past.
Josie Canseco is famous for her modeling career. However, not many are aware that she is the daughter of former Major League Baseball player Jose Canseco. Josie also gained some early exposure through her mother’s appearances on VH1’s “Hollywood Exes” (2012) and her stint on the web series “SummerBreak 2” (2014) as a teenager.
On the other hand, Johnny Manziel is a former NFL quarterback. Manziel excelled at Texas A&M University, becoming the first freshman ever to win the prestigious Heisman Trophy in 2012. Next, the Cleveland Browns selected him in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft with high expectations.
Despite his talent, Manziel’s off-field issues and inconsistencies on the field limited his playing time with the Browns. After being released by Cleveland, Manziel attempted to revive his career in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the short-lived Alliance of American Football (AAF) with limited success. He most recently played in the Fan Controlled Football League (FCF) from 2021 to 2022.
