It was strange to see receiver Davante Adams leave the Green Bay Packers to join the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022. At the time, a Aaron Rodgers led Packers team were coming off three straight division titles and fell just short of three straight NFC Championship game appearances. Adams and Rodgers shared a special connection, but with the quarterback’s future plans unclear, and no evidence that Jordan Love could handle the workload, the wide receiver felt that it was the right time to move on after eight season in Wisconsin.
On a recent episode of The Rush podcast, Adams reflected on the trade and the impressive response that Rodgers’ successor Jordan Love has had since his departure.
“In hindsight, like we talked about, the kid is a f****** baller, man. I am so happy for him,” said Adams when discussing Love. “I don’t regret what I did, but, at the same time, it’s definitely you look back on it like ‘damn that boy kind of balling right now.'”
Adams went on to say he wanted to sit down with Love and tell him how proud he is of his achievements and even insinuated that he would’ve like to play with the quarterback in Las Vegas.
“If there was a way I could pull you over here and drag you with me that would have been cool too,” added Adams.
Since moving on from the Packers, Adams has not had the success he had in Green Bay. The Raiders are 14-20 over their last two seasons and have failed to make the playoffs since Adams joined.
