EXCLUSIVE: “Feeling all of that energy was great” – NY Jets LB Quincy Williams experienced English soccer in London in off-season and loved the energy

New York Jets linebacker Quincy Williams is a quixotic person, given his brutality on the field and his appreciation of culture off the turf.

With a stated desire to be known as the hardest hitting tackler in the league he paradoxically loves art and music.

Overtime Heroic’s senior editor Reggie Roberts caught up with one half of the Williams brothers for a one-on-one.

The All-Pro linebacker was outstanding last season even if the Jets had a forgettable campaign.

He recently spent the off season traveling across the Atlantic and told Overtime Heroics, “During the offseason, I went to London. I went to experience London for the first time, and I wasn’t there to play a football game which was a lot of fun. My favorite part of the trip would have to be the Monday night soccer game.

“There was a lot of energy, the pre-game was good. Just hearing all the chants and seeing and feeling all of that energy was great.”

Williams is one half of history joining his younger brother Quinnen in the Jets lineup and becoming the first set of siblings to complete a sack each for the same NFL team in the same game.

He is more than a big brother NFL football star; he is a man of the world and Jets fans will he hoping his jaunt will add some extra maturity to an already solid super star.
