The First-team All-Pro linebacker of the New York Jets, Quincy Williams, had an incredible last season with the squad. With his impressive performance in the 2023 season, he was counted among league’s top talents in the linebacker position.

Williams was selected in the 2019 NFL Draft in the third round as the 98th pick and was acquired up by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played with the Jaguars squad from 2019 to 2020, he then joined the New York Jets, with whom he achieved great feats.

The native of Birmingham, Alabama, spent two years with the Jaguars and was released in 2021. After joining the Jets, he became one of the most crucial players in the Jets defense and earned All-Pro Honors in 2023. Last year, he signed a three year $18 million contract with the squad.

In 2023, Williams registered 95 solo tackles, 2.0 sacks, ten passes defensed, and two forced fumbles. Last year, he was honored with being named the American Football Conference Defensive Player of the Month. The prominent linebacker’s younger brother, Quinnen Williams, is the right defensive tackle for the Jets.

The sacks points were added to the official stat score in 1982 and the Williams brothers in 2021 became the first pair to record the same sacks for the same team, the Jets. Williams’ passion continues to flow in both his on and off field activities. The 27-year old is devoted to art and admires famed rapper and singer, Future, an icon of vocal tuning, whose collaborations have gained him wide success.

During an exclusive interview with Overtime Heroics senior editor, Reggie Roberts, the linebacker shed light on what interests him the most when he is not busy playing professional football.

Overtime Heroics senior editor Reggie Roberts asked the linebacker: “You live in the entertainment capital of the world for six months of the year.  What’s the coolest thing you have seen or participated in since you have lived in NYC?

To which All-Pro linebacker, Quincy Williams replied, “The coolest thing I’ve participated in was probably Monday Night Football games or Thursday Night Football games at Metlife Stadium.  Those are the best.  Prime time games at Metlife…Lit.  Outside of football, fashion week was a lot of fun.  They also had a lot of art there at fashion week which was really cool. I also go to a lot of art shows in the city. There is a lot to do in the city.  I am the type of person where my hobby is hobbying…doing everything…for real…I’m open to everything.”

Williams states that he loves to play Monday and Thursday Night Football games at Metlife Stadium, considering them “the coolest thing”. Fashion is another department that attracts his attention and he considers that there are a lot of things one can do in New York City. The linebacker, along with this, also wants to be reminisced as one of the league’s most effective linebackers.
