Former NFL running back Jay Ajayi, who won a Super Bowl during his career, has hung up his cleats and picked up the mic. Jay Ajayi won the Super Bowl during Super Bowl LII, which took place on February 4th, 2018. He was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles at the time, who defeated the New England Patriots.

Jay is now pursuing a music career under the rap alias “Finesse.”

Finesse launched his debut single titled “PEAK” earlier this week. He aims for a vibe-heavy sound, incorporating elements of trap music, south-side beats, and prominent bass (808s). Furthermore, Jay aspires to create a full experience for listeners.

While a Grammy isn’t necessarily his ultimate goal, Finesse desires a genuine connection with his audience. His dream scenario involves selling out shows and having fans engaged with his music during live performances.

Well, Finesse takes his music career seriously and hopes to land collaborations with some big names. His dream collaborators include Travis Scott, who shares Texas connections with Finesse, and Mike Dean, a prolific producer who’s worked with artists like Jay Z and Kanye West.

Jay Ajayi’s NFL Career: A Look Back

Drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 2015, Jay Ajayi carved out a five-year NFL career as a running back. After missing early games in his rookie season, Ajayi flashed his potential in 2016, earning a Pro Bowl selection thanks to his bruising running style. Despite his talent, Ajayi’s tenure in Miami was short-lived due to friction with the coaching staff.

Traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017, Ajayi contributed to their Super Bowl LII victory that same season. He finished his career with the Eagles in 2019 before announcing his retirement in 2022.
