“He’s a Hall of Famer” Chris Broussard Praises Jamal Murray, Suggests Hall of Fame Potential with Championship Win

The Denver Nuggets are officially moving to the second round of the playoff series after defeating the Los Angeles Lakers in round one of the playoff series. Jamal Murray"s clutch performances became one of the winning factors that led Nuggets to another successful series against the Lakers.

After sweeping the Lakers squad, which saw league icon LeBron James in his 21st season, the Nuggets will be facing the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are coming in strong after defeating the Phoenix Suns in four straight games.

From the reigning champions side, the Serbian sensation and six-time All-Star Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., and Aaron Gordon will spearhead the team along with the others, and from the Timberwolves side, two-time All-Star Anthony Edwards, three-time All-Star and Defensive Player of the Year, Rudy Gobert, along with Karl-Anthony Towns, Jaden McDaniels, and Mike Conley Jr. will be the driving force along with others.

In the final game against the Lakers, Murray scored 32 points, along with three rebounds, and 7 assists. However, FS1’s sports analyst and commentator, Chris Broussard, believes that if the Nuggets win the championship, Murray will be a Hall of Famer.

During one of the episodes of “First Things First" with Nick Wright and Kevin Wildes, Broussard positively mentioned, "I don’t feel like he [Jamal Murray] is a superstar. If they [Denver Nuggets] win the championship this year, he’s a Hall of Famer. All-Star be darned, one of the reason he hasn’t made an All-Star team yet one he’s had some injuries so he’s been out. Two, the West is just so deep with guards and so he is an All-Star caliber player everybody knows that and the dude is incredible."

He further continued, "One thing I liked last night Nick [Nick Wright] if you didn’t know the storyline going in you wouldn’t know he was hurt. He wasn’t grimacing, he wasn’t limping, we see a lot of players do that right, ‘oh I’m so in pain that’s why I am missing shots’ the dude is a baller and he’s a dog and he doesn’t care like the rest of the Nuggets who gets the credit. He didn’t care, he didn’t care less than he hadn’t made an All-Star team."

During the playoff round 1 series, Murray made two major game-winning shots impressively taking the Nuggets to the victory. Murray’s average is 23.6 points, 7.2 assists, and 4.6 rebounds in the series. The Kentucky prospect also expressed confidence in both himself and Jokic considering their partnership stating that he thinks they are "the best duo".
