The Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown has recently signed a massive contract extension with the squad, subsequently making him one of the highest paid wide receivers in the league.
He signed a three-year $96 million extension contract with the squad, making it the second contract he completed with the Eagles. He joined Philadelphia in 2022. The prominent wide receiver had also added that his attitude towards the game will not undergo any modifications considering he has climbed the compensation board.
He had expressed, as per Pro Football Talk, “Nothing. I want to prove it. It’s a blessing, I can say, but we don’t play on paper. Nobody cares what’s in the bank account when you step between the lines.”
The two-time Second-team All-Pro wide receiver Brown had made a call to the Philadelphia radio station WIP to dispel the rumors that surrounded the squad’s locker room, as there were speculations of difficulties that contributed to disintegration of the second half of the 2023 season.
He mentioned, “At the time, I felt like that was right. But looking back on it, it’s something I learned from. I’m learning to let people just have their opinions and just keep on pushing. I’m human. That’s something I can’t control. I can’t control when somebody talks about me or comes up with these things. It’s something that I learned from and I’m moving forward.”
These conjectures that swirled around the Eagles and their downfall late in the season were dismissed by the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, A.J. Brown. He also stated that he is trying to get better and sideline the notions that move around the squad.
