The NHL playoffs are in full swing and that means goals, hard hits and plenty of drama.
The Toronto Maple Leafs travelled to Massachusetts to face the Boston Bruins in a win or go home matchup that was sure to produce plenty of fireworks. Jake McCabe scored early to give the Canadian side an early advantage but Trent Frederic responded shortly after in the first period. What ensued was a heated battle between two two team giving it their all.
The Maple Leafs went on the secure a 2-1 win in overtime to keep the series alive but perhaps the most entertaining moment of the game came after the second period. The Bruins had just been penalized twice for roughing which left Boston defender Charlie McAvoy livid. His attempts to approach the referee were futile with Steve Kozari promptly leaving the ice without an explanation.

McAvoy was rightfully upset but long-serving NHL commentator Jack Edwards took it one step further. Edwards could not hold back his anger and proceeded to call the veteran referee a “coward” on live television.
“And Kozari is the first official to exit the ice. Coward,” said Edwards.
The Bruins will look to bounce back on Thursday when they travel to Toronto for Game 6. If they fail to win that game, prepare to see a feisty Game 7 matchup in Boston to determine which of these teams progresses to the next round.
