There is a complexity and cadence to calling commentary on EA Sports College Football 25 game and there will be more than two people manning the microphone.
The voices of the game Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will likely be teaming up with some big broadcasting names.
“Chris and I won’t be on every game,” Herbstreit said. “You’re going to have different broadcast partners for different games. Depending on the magnitude of the game, that will dictate who’s calling the game,” said Herbstreit.
Daryl Holt, senior vice president of EA Sports admitted the game developers had received a bucketload of commentators interested in the gig.
“We got calls from people asking us ‘Can I be in the game? Can I be a voice? Can I be a commentator?’” Holt said.
Names bandied about include Rece Davis, Kevin Connors, Jesse Palmer, Desmond Howard, and David Pollack.
The game has grown so much that a host of voices will be needed to cover the minutiae of every call, and fans will be the winners, with added gravitas being added.
