Expect to see a new-look Chicago Bears team take the field in 2024 with several new faces on the roster. It may be tough to initially recognize some of the players at Soldier Field with a handful of players changing their jersey numbers for the upcoming season.
Cornerback Jaylon Johnson is the latest player to switch his number and will now play in the No. 1 jersey he wore during his college days in Utah. Johnson previous played in the No. 33 jersey over his last four seasons in the Windy City.
A standout 2023 season saw the 25-year-old earn a four-year, $76 million extension. He finished the year with four interceptions, 36 tackles and one tackle for loss over 14 games. Bears fans will be hoping a change in jersey number will not affect his performances on the field as they are counting on him to once again put up big numbers in 2024.
The Bears have set their roster with new jersey numbers: Jaylon Johnson has indeed jumped to No. 1, D'Andre Swift will don No. 4, Keenan Allen has claimed No. 13, while Tyler Scott has switched to No. 10. And Caleb Williams will wear No. 18 while Rome Odunze will rock No. 15. pic.twitter.com/apRxwsTjLk

The Bears have been active during the offseason bringing in wide receiver Keenan Allen and running back D’Andre Swift to compliment 2024 no. 1 overall draft pick Caleb Williams.
Since Allen with the donning the No. 13 jersey, quarterback Williams will also be shifting to a new number and wear the No. 18 next season. Swift has moved on from the No. 0 shirt he played with the Phialdelphia and will be taking the field in the No. 4 jersey. Newly-signed safety Jonathan Owens will wear No. 36 instead of No. 34.
