New York Giants’ star wide receiver, Darius Slayton, is currently in the spotlight for his unresolved contract situation.

With the Giants’ selection of wide receiver Malik Nabers in the first round, speculations began brewing. However, Slayton remains confident that his contract will be finalized soon.

In a recent public statement, Giants’ General Manager Joe Schoen assured that Nabers’ drafting was not indicative of the team considering parting ways with Slayton.

The presence of multiple talents gives the Giants a robust roster going into the next season.

“I don’t think it will get to that point,” Slayton said, via Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com. “Like I said, it’s been good, constant communication throughout the whole process. It’ll be resolved soon.”

Last season, Slayton made a significant contribution to the Giants with 50 catches, 770 yards, and four touchdowns.

In four out of his five seasons with the Giants, Slayton led the team in receiving, showcasing his instrumental role and the team’s reliance on his talent.

Slayton received a roster bonus back in March, and with this season being the concluding year of his current contract, talks of renewals and terms have been ignited.

Slayton expressed that his representatives are currently in talks with GM Schoen for a possible contract renewal, adding to the hopes of Giants’ fans and stakeholders.

As information breaks about the ongoing contract talks between Slayton and Giants’ management, fans are excitedly waiting to hear about a positive resolution.
