Former Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce has only just retired but his stock keeps rising.
Together with brother and Chiefs tight end Travis, they have created the wildly popular New Heights podcast, and now it seems the Superbowl winning centre is likely to take on a spot at ESPN.
“Nothing’s been officially inked yet or announced yet, but obviously, there’s been a lot of reports out there about me going to ESPN,” Kelce said. “I think time will kind of take care of that. But it’s a tremendous honor to even be considered to potentially work there.
“That network was everything that Travis and I watched growing up. We talk about it all the time, we had Rich Eisen last year on the show. We talk about all the time, all these guys we grew up watching. And we lived watching ESPN.
“The fact that I may, potentially, probably will be working there is pretty darn cool, man,” he added.
From starting centre to WrestleMania to podcast lore and now to ESPN, there is no stopping Jason Kelce.
“I did my due diligence; you want to make sure you’re really looking at things, talking to people that are knowledgeable in the industry — neither one of us has ever done something like this,” Jason explained.
“Throughout the whole process, meeting and talking to everyone over at ESPN, it became apparent that it was really the right fit. And, at the end of the day, it’s something that I’m really, really looking forward to, this next phase.”
