The Texans will hope running back Dameon Pierce offers more offensive muster in the 2024 season after flattering to deceive.
Pierce struggled last season only gaining 416 yards and two touchdowns.
Houston GM Nick Caserio believes it is only a matter of time before the RB finds his mojo.
“The big thing right now is to be in good condition — which he is,” Caserio told the Texans Daily.
“Watching him move on the field, he looks pretty good. Everybody’s looking forward to the opportunity in front of them; you can’t worry about what’s happened in the past. He’s got as good an attitude as anyone on the team. We’re glad DP is here. He’s going to be a big part of what we’re doing. He’s working his ass off so far, which is great to see.”
The Texans did get cover in Joe Mixon, but it is hoped that the duo can work together as an offensive weapon rather than swap starting roles.
