Former NFL player Antonio Brown’s latest rant is about WNBA star Brittney Griner.
Griner was arrested in February 2022 at a Moscow airport when cannabis oil vape cartridges were found in her luggage. Detained for nearly 10 months, she pleaded guilty to drug charges and was sentenced to nine years in a harsh Russian prison. The US considered her “wrongfully detained” and worked to secure her release. In December 2022, Griner was freed in a prisoner exchange for a Russian arms dealer. Back in the US, Griner rejoined her WNBA team in May 2023.
Brittney Griner recently spoke out for the first time since her release from a Russian prison in an exclusive interview with ABC News’ Robin Roberts. She described the ordeal as a “mistake” that changed her life, taking full responsibility for having vape cartridges containing cannabis oil in her luggage. Griner recounted the harsh conditions of her confinement, including sleeping on a mattress with a blood stain and enduring humiliating treatment from guards. She also spoke about the mental and physical toll of her experience, including taking up smoking and feeling like a pawn in a political game.
Now, the former Pittsburgh Steelers star, Antonio Brown made light of the situation. He commented on a video of Griner discussing her experience in prison, comparing her hairstyle to Guy Broccoli, a character from the children’s show “VeggieTales.”

Griner had just been through a traumatic ordeal, and Brown’s comment was seen as trivializing her experience.
Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark BLOCKED Antonio Brown
Antonio Brown is known for his talent and off-field controversies. Recently, he set his sights on WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark.
It began in April after Clark’s impressive performance in the NCAA Tournament.
Brown took to social media platform X, making an offensive remark about Clark’s appearance, comparing her to actor Mel Gibson.
He followed up with another inappropriate comment about her body, leading Clark to block him.

Brown continued his commentary, using an analogy to suggest Clark’s talent outshines the rest of the WNBA (comparing Clark to a Lamborghini parked in front of a rundown house).
Caitlin Clark hasn’t publicly commented on the situation beyond blocking Brown. She is focused on her professional career with the Indiana Fever, the WNBA team that drafted her first overall in 2024.
