The Milwaukee Bucks exit from the NBA playoffs at the hands of the Indiana Pacers was marred by an incident involving Patrick Beverley. In the final moments of their Game 6 loss, Beverley was caught on camera throwing a ball at a Pacers fan, followed by another aggressive toss towards a different fan. This behavior will likely lead to disciplinary action from the NBA, although he wasn’t ejected from the game.
Despite the incident, Beverley’s performance on the court was lackluster, scoring only six points and shooting poorly. He congratulated the Pacers after the game but didn’t address the incident. Moreover, he caused controversy by refusing to answer questions from an ESPN reporter who hadn’t subscribed to his podcast and later demanded another reporter leave the press conference. Beverley who has a reputation for belligerence on and off the court has reportedly refused interviews with local media who have not subscribed to his podcast, “The Pat Bev Podcast With Rone”.

The Bucks had a rough night overall, with the Pacers dominating the game and leading comfortably throughout the fourth quarter. Despite hopes of a comeback with Damian Lillard’s return, the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo due to injury proved challenging for Milwaukee.
Moving forward, the Pacers will face the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference semifinals, while the Bucks are left to ponder their offseason plans, including Beverley’s pending free agency, after a turbulent season that saw a coaching change midseason.
