Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley has come under scrutiny for his actions during the team’s playoff game against the Indiana Pacers. In the game, which ultimately led to the Bucks’ elimination, Beverley threw a ball into the stands, hitting a fan.
Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors expressed his disapproval of Beverley’s behavior on his podcast, noting that this incident was even more concerning than a previous incident involving Chris Paul. Green emphasized that such actions are forbidden for players like them.
"Adam is going to have a problem on his hands… that is forbidden for us"

Not only did Green criticize Beverley’s on-court behavior, but he also called out the guard for his treatment of an ESPN producer. Beverley refused to speak with the producer because she did not subscribe to his podcast.
Green advised Beverley to stop having these kinds of moments, and he highlighted the need for the NBA to address the situation.
While the Bucks played without Giannis Antetokounmpo, Beverley was given an increased role and performed well at times. However, his actions at the end of Game 6 were deemed unacceptable and are likely to lead to disciplinary action from the NBA.
The league is now tasked with examining Beverley’s actions both on and off the court. The incident involving the fan and Beverley’s refusal to engage with the ESPN producer have raised concerns, with many believing that he crossed a line. Charles Barkley has even called for a suspension.
Green predicted that NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will face difficulties in handling this situation, as it is reminiscent of players going into the stands, which is strictly prohibited.
Green also expressed his support for the NBA’s backing of podcasts and criticized Beverley for mishandling the situation with the ESPN producer. He urged Beverley to change his behavior and avoid such moments in the future.

I mean, I’m not saying he’s right and I’m not saying he’s wrong but is Draymond Green the person we should be listening to when it comes to stuff like this?
— colbert (@darkrappvato) May 3, 2024
Unless Pat Bev has a contract beyond this year, I don't think Adam Silver is going to have a problem at all. I don't think any team will sign him knowing he has a potentially long suspension hanging over his head. His production just doesn't justify it.
