One of the most decorated head coaches of the NFL, Bill Belichick, will be taking over his media role for the next season and it is known that he will be having a recurring role with ESPN’s partner Omaha Productions with Peyton Manning and Eli Manning.
It was also reported by The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand that he would be focusing on his own podcast and would write a book as well, which would focus on leadership.
The league’s multiple-record setter head coach, who won six Super Bowl championships with legendary quarterback, Tom Brady, was welcomed with thunderous applause and standing ovation when he appeared on Netflix’s Tom Brady’s Roast.
Belichick began his comical journey with himself and then moved on to former four-time Super Bowl champion tight end icon, Rob Gronkowski. The three-time AP NFL Coach of the Year, first burned himself in jest, mentioning, "It’s an honor to be at the ‘Roast of Tom Brady’ on Netflix tonight. It’s not to be confused with the 10-part Bill Belichick roast during the Apple TV documentary."
The former head coach of the New England Patriots stated, alluding to Apple TV’s "The Dynasty: New England Patriots" series that chronicled the Patriots supremacy under Belichick, and Brady. Even though the show’s focus was on seven-time Super Bowl champion Brady, Belichick roped himself along with five-time Pro Bowl Gronk, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest tight ends of all time.
Belichick stated comically, as per Fox News, "A lot of people connected me with a saying called, ‘Do your job,’ and telling people to do their job. Gronk, I’ve been watching you on ‘Fox NFL Sunday’ and I’m begging you, please, stop doing your job."

Bill Belichick: "I’m honored to be here at the Roast of Tom Brady on Netflix – not to be confused with the Roast of Bill Belichick on the AppleTV 10-part series"

He further continued, "I loved coaching Gronk. A great teammate, great, great player. A Hall of Fame player. … Rob landed some endorsement deals for some of his favorite foods, Campbell’s Soup, Dunkin’ Donuts, and don’t forget… Tide Pods."
Bill Belichick roasting Danny Amendola: "Danny joined us in 2014 and had 200 yards. In 2016 he had 250. Or what Randy [Moss] would call a decent first half."

Belichick also covered Hall of Famer wide receiver Randy Moss and stated, "A lot of you don’t know, but I really have a big heart. I rescued a dog from the shelter, and I rescued Randy from the Raiders. Listen, Randy, I’m really sorry you didn’t get a ring. Not enough to give you one of mine, but I’m really sorry."
Continuing to take on Brady, the two-time Super Bowl winning champion as an executive then commenced his roast on five-time Super Bowl MVP, expressing, "Tom’s the greatest of all time, there’s no question about that. That’s why we’re all here. Tom’s fantastic. Believe it or not, I’ve got a lot of nice things to say about Tom, but I’m running out of time here. I see your soccer team, Birmingham City, got knocked down another tier in the English Football League. Not so easy running a team is it, Tom? Little coaching advice, stick to American football. You’re really good at that."
However, despite having an illustrious career and serious personality, Belichick’s ability to make light-hearted remarks filled the night with entertainment feats and endless laughter.
