Robert Kraft Says He Wants His Super Bowl Ring Back From Vladimir Putin At Tom Brady Roast

The highly anticipated Tom Brady Roast was the place to be this week with some of the biggest names in the sports, entertainment and business world in attendance to slam the seven-time winning quarterback.

On Sunday, Brady was accompanied on the stage at the Kia Forum by several former teammates including Rob Gronkowski, Randy Moss, Julian Edelman, Drew Bledsoe. His former coach Bill Belichick also made an appearance. With a handful of popular comedians and Hollywood stars rounding out the list, this was must-watch television.

As the show was winding down, it was New England Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft’s turn to go after Brady. The two have a history that dates back decades and won six Super Bowls together before Brady’s departure to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Kraft kept it relatively PG compared to some of the other guests but did have one moment towards the end of his speech that stood out.

“In case Vladimir Putin you’re watching, give me my f****** ring back, will ya?” joked Kraft.

The reference goes back to the time when Kraft visited Russia in 2005. Vladimir Putin was admiring Kraft’s Super Bowl ring and apparently pocketed it assuming it was a gift according to a recent piece from FOX News.

Kraft later stated he “decided to give him the ring as a symbol of the respect and admiration that I have for the Russian people and the leadership of President Putin,” but on Sunday asked for it back.

The good news for the Patriots owner is that he has got five more Super Bowl rings at home to admire. He still has time to win a few more.
