Under Nick Sirianni’s leadership, the Philadelphia Eagles have been one of the most consistent offenses in the league. The Eagles have made the playoffs over three consecutive seasons and fell just short of a Super Bowl in 2022. During the offseason, the organization added a key piece that could finally get them over the hump next year.
Two-time Pro Bowler Saquon Barkley joins a star-studded Eagles offense in 2024 and will be looking to make an instant impact. The former Penn State and New York Giants star is considered one of the league’s elite running backs and Philadelphia general manager Howie Roseman did not hesitate to shell out the big bucks when he had the chance to sign him.
“This is a difference-making player,” said Roseman on Mad Dog Sports Radio. “From our perspective, you get to a situation where you kind of try to find, is something being undervalued? Is there a way to zig when everyone is zagging. But I think that it’s hard to find difference-making players and people.”
"Not that it wasn't anywhere else, but maybe we have a good situation, here with us in Philly, to kind of maximize him." #Eagles GM Howie Roseman tells @AdamSchein what made Saquon Barkley a perfect fit for Philadelphia.

Barkley and the Giants had been going back and forth on contract negotiations and when they were not able to come to an agreement, Philadelphia jumped in to sign the free agent to a three-year, $37.5 million deal. That could end up being a bargain for the organization.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts returns for his fifth season with the franchise and will have several talented receivers to throw to including A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. Add Barkley to the mix, and it is hard to see anyone in the NFC East stopping the Eagles.
