Top pundit Bucky Brooks believes the Dallas Cowboys had a shockingly bad 2024 draft and will struggle offensively

There are always teams that pick smart in each draft season and there are conversely sides that do not fare as well.

According to NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks the Dallas Cowboys picked a confounding class of 2024.

We saw last season how the Texans and the Rams got their picks spot on, with both enjoying playoff runs.

The likes of CJ Stroud and Will Anderson Jr, who won’t the offensive and defensive player of the year awards respectively showcased the very best of using picks smartly.

The Rams had fortune in wide receiver Puka Nacua and defensive tackle Kobie Turner and it could be said those two teams enjoyed 2023.

The one team that has confounded pundits, including Brooke is the selections at Dallas.

In round one and at 29th overall the Cowboys picked offensive tackle Tyler Guyton out of Oklahoma and in round three signed IOL Cooper Beebe, two odd choices for a team promising quarterback Dak Prescott decent weaponry at WR and RB.

Jones and company probably are looking at players to protect Prescott but what help will it be if he has no player to rely on offensively?

Jerry Jones promised an attacking team, but based on their draft picks it seems like the team has taken a backward step.

Jones promised to relaunch the team but with little activity in free agency and a poor draft they will have to rely in a retreated Ezekiel Elliott and sixth round rookie Ryan Flournoy.
