Isaiah Hartenstein has become an essential player for the New York Knicks, especially in their starting lineup. Despite moving around a bit in his early years in the league, he’s found his groove with the Knicks, bringing physicality, strong rebounding skills, and a deft touch around the rim, which has been crucial for the team’s success in the Eastern Conference this season.

While Hartenstein isn’t known for his three-point shooting, with only 31 percent accuracy in his career and just one three-pointer this year, something remarkable happened in Game 1 against the Indiana Pacers. Despite going through 19 playoff games without a single three-pointer, Hartenstein finally nailed one.
What made it even more impressive was that he shot it from behind halfcourt right before halftime. This shot made him 1-for-2 from deep in his playoff career, giving him a 50 percent shooting rate. Although this doesn’t mean he’ll suddenly start shooting threes regularly, it’s a memorable moment for him and a nice addition to his postseason stats.
