Referee Marc Davis: Murray threw heating pad would get technical foul, not ejection

Referee Marc Davis says that had the officiating crew realized Jamal Murray threw the heating pad, he would have been assessed a technical foul and not ejected.

In a crucial Game 2 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Denver Nuggets were expected to bounce back after losing the first game. However, the Wolves dominated the match, leading by a massive 61-35 at halftime.

The Nuggets, who appeared physically outmatched, struggled throughout the series. Jamal Murray, frustrated by Minnesota’s defense, expressed his annoyance by throwing a heat pack onto the court. Surprisingly, neither of his actions resulted in technical fouls.

Murray’s performance was abysmal, finishing the game with only eight points. Battling a calf injury, he has failed to replicate his playoff success against a tougher Wolves defense.

The Timberwolves emerged victorious, leading the series 2-0, putting the reigning champions in a precarious position.
