Jaylen Brown Leads Boston Celtics to Victory Over Cleveland Cavaliers in Conference Semifinals Opener, sends clear message

In the First Round of the Conference Semifinals, the Boston Celtics defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers with a final score of 120-95. It was three-time All-Star, Jaylen Brown who scored team high 32 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. 

Derrick White scored 25 points, one rebound, and 5 assists, and Jayson Tatum added 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists. Payton Pritchard posted 16 points, whereas Jrue Holiday added 14 to the scoreboard. 

The field goal percentage of Celtics was 48.9% and Cavaliers had 41.1%. The three point percentage of Cavaliers was noted to be 26.2% and Celtics had 39.1%. Celtics head coach, Joe Mazzulla, mentioned, as per Boston Herald, “(I liked) our will to compete and play. Play through mistakes, play through some tough shot-making. Just good physicality, and obviously for stretches, we had really good offensive organization.”

Brown also shared, “It’s going to be tough for a team to beat us four times.”

From the Cavaliers side, it was guard Donovan Mitchell who scored team high 33 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Evan Mobely added 17 points, including 13 rebounds, and 3 assists. Isaac Okoro also posted 11 points, one rebound, and one assist. Darius Garland ended his night with 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists.
