Despite his positioning as the No.3 pick, Mobley has yet to validate the high expectations pinned on him, especially in terms of his offensive performance.
Recently, Brian Windhorst, a renowned ESPN insider, voiced his opinions on Mobley’s development thus far while featuring on ESPN Cleveland.
He noted with a hint of disappointment that Mobley has not performed as expected offensively despite possessing the required skill-set.
Windhorst further emphasized that while Mobley has shown promise defensively, his offensive strides are yet to meet the same mark.

It’s evident that the excitement surrounding Mobley’s entry into the NBA was influenced by his prospective offensive abilities, notably likened to legends, including Chris Bosh and Pau Gasol.
This enthusiasm extended towards his initially non-proficient three-point shooting, which seemed promising due to his mechanics.
However, time has not been generous to these expectations as Mobley has not yet showcased any significant offensive evolution.
Although Mobley has dealt with injuries this season, detractors argue that these should not be used as an excuse for his stagnant offensive evolution.
His career so far has certainly allowed him ample opportunities to flourish as a rebounder, particularly with Jarrett Allen mastering the paint and the glass ends.
Unfortunately, Mobley appears to struggle in finding his touch around the rim.
