“It’s pathetic” ESPN’S Mike Greenberg calls out Nuggets’ Jamal Murray for throwing a heat pack on court

The Conference Semifinals between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets saw the former take a two-game lead. However, during the game two face-off, the Nuggets’ point guard, Jamal Murray, threw a heat pad and then a towel on the court.

For his actions, as per Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Murray was fined $100,000; however, no suspension was given for his acts. The ESPN host, Mike Greenberg, watched Murray sideline questions regarding the violation and stated his opinions on the heated situation.

He mentioned on an episode of “Get Up”, “I think this just has to be said. That response from Jamal Murray is one of the weakest things I’ve ever seen in my 35 years covering sports. What he did was practically unprecedented in NBA history and to pretend that it was ridiculous that he was even being asked about it two days later is pathetic. That’s what it is. It’s pathetic.”

The NBA champion of 2023 also stated, “It is what it is. I take full responsibility and onto the next.”

Greenberg further stated, “Candidly, it’s words that I can’t use on television to respond to it, the things he didn’t say were much louder than the things he did.” Greenberg pushed upon the fact how the point guard acted and his inability to be clear regarding his actions.
