Keon Coleman recently went viral for working a shift at a famous fried chicken joint in his hometown of Opelousas, Louisiana. The place? Mama’s Fried Chicken.
This wasn’t a random fry-up fling though. Coleman, drafted by the Buffalo Bills, made a playful promise on an RGIII podcast to promote his favorite spots back home. Mama’s Fried Chicken made the cut, and Coleman, true to his word, donned the iconic restaurant hat and dished out fried chicken with a smile.
Currently, the video showing Coleman charming customers behind the counter has been making waves on X, formerly Twitter.

Keon Coleman was recently drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 2024 NFL Draft. He played for both Michigan State Spartans (2021-2022) and Florida State Seminoles (2023). As a freshman at Michigan State, he saw limited action but showed promise with a touchdown in his 10 games played. Keon stepped up as a starter in his sophomore year and led the team in receiving yards.
He was transferred to Florida State for his junior year (2023) and thrived.
Keon also achieved a remarkable feat by earning First Team All-ACC honors at three positions- wide receiver, all-purpose, and specialist.
