The New York Knicks are leading the Conference Semifinals with a two-game lead as they have recently defeated the Indiana Pacers with a concluding score of 130-121.
The All-Star guard of the Knicks, Jalen Brunson, once again gave an incredible performance despite missing the entire second quarter due to a foot injury. He came back in the next quarter and took the Knicks to their victory.
He ended his game with a team-high score of 29 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists. OG Anunoby added 28 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists but was injured in the game and did not return. During the game, Brunson had a Willis Reed moment.
The late two-time NBA champion and Knicks icon, Reed, in 1970, came back from the locker room with a leg injury to play in the game, which marked one of the greatest moments in the history of the NBA. So, Brunson did exactly that and lifted the spirits of his squad.

ESPN analyst, Jay Williams, however, has recently shared positive remarks regarding how superlative Brunson has been during the season. He shared, “You would almost think, it’s like a Cindrella run within the NBA. But, I think a lot of things are being cemented. I think Jalen Brunson can be the best player on a championship team. I think he’s proven that and by the way.”
According to CBS Sports, the Knicks registered three players who scored 25 or more points in a playoff game, and the players were Brunson, OG Anunoby, and Donte DiVincenzo. The feat is posted for the first time since 1970.
