There is a belt for every suit and a cornerback for every winning team, and in rookie Max Melton Arizona may have found the right fit.
Melton will look to outshine fellow draftees, who will were selected just ahead if him.
He will compete with Kamari Lassiter from the Texans, Kool-Aid McKinstry if the Saints and Cooper DeJean from the Eagles.
“Everybody’s gonna have an opinion,” Melton said during his Thursday news conference.
“Opinions are like Gucci belts — everybody has one. Everybody is going to have an opinion.
“Nobody is ever going to be 100 percent on the same page, especially when you’re talking about millions of fans. I know come the season, once we get a couple weeks in, I think they’ll be happy with their pick.”
Which cornerback will have the most notches on their belt come end of season is up for grabs, so strap in for a wild rookie ride.
