Detmers revealed that Ohtani’s love for the circle game was evident during their time together at the ballpark.
“Every day he choked to the park, he’d be messing around with some guys, putting, like, the circle down. He loved that,” Detmers shared.
The circle game, a popular pastime involving forming a circle with one’s hand below the waist and tricking others into looking at it, seemed to bring Ohtani joy.
Detmers mentioned that Ohtani would often engage in the game in the clubhouse, playfully teasing teammates by attempting to catch their attention.
